Consistency in Small Groups

Posted on September 27, 2020

The second Facet of Healthy Small Groups is Consistency.

For a small group to develop an atmosphere of relational trust, two types of Consistency are necessary:

1. Consistency of Attendance

Our regular presence demonstrates that each member is committed to one another. Over time, consistent attendance fosters an increasing atmosphere of trust by continually emphasizing the priority of these relationships in our lives.

2. Consistency of Engagement

We need consistent participation from each member of our group because relationships take time and investment to build. Our attention to one another through active listening and authentic speech will yield powerful relational connections as we consistently show our commitment to the growth of each member.
