Effective Team Communication Schedule

Posted on November 01, 2020

Effective team communication can increase both team effectiveness in accomplishing their goals as well as team satisfaction and engagement about their work.

Effective team communication should be based on an intentional schedule that allows for consistent discussion and feedback for both the team as well as the individual team members.

Effective Team Communication Schedule

1. Weekly One-on-One Meeting

Assesses the employee’s current well-being, their feelings about their work/workload and their needs to continue to improve their work effectiveness and satisfaction.

2. Weekly Team Update Meeting

Allows the team to communicate the current status of their projects and goals, understand the contingencies of other member’s projects and create synergy within the team.

3. Focused Project Meetings

Addresses specific needs and details about a particular project in a more focused way than the general team meeting allows.
