Effective Team Meetings

Posted on November 16, 2020

Effective Team Meetings focus on each team member's updates for their work projects and goals.

As the team hears updates from each member, they learn to see how each of their efforts fits into the bigger strategic picture. This level of clarity and openness with one another can build trust and ultimately synergy.

In order to keep these meetings within an hour time frame, consider using a structured time schedule. Give each team member 7 minutes to give their update. If your team of direct reports has 6-7 members, your team should be finished in 42-49 minutes.

Any team discussion that cannot be finished within the time allotted should be spun off into a focused project meeting.
